正20角形とオクテットトラス
正20角形とオクテットトラスを楊枝でつくってみました。
なぜ？というのは多分自分以外には理解できないのだとう思う。
BuckminsterFullerの思考の道筋に近づいてみたかった、というのと、実物をすぐ近くで見たかった、という理由からだ。
目の前にないモノをイメージする力、というのは大事だと思う。
広義に捉えれば、思いやり、とかになるのだけれど、
ただ単に、中学受験で出てくるような、立方体をこんなふうに切ったら断面はどんな形になりますか？ ということだ。
正20角形はイメージできなかった。オクテットトラスも。
単純に、どの頂点から見ても5角形なんだ・・・という発見があった。
眺めていると、焦る。
